Set Work Blogs

At both GCSE & A-Level students may be required to study Set Works (dependent on exam board). This page brings together a number of different Set Work Blogs that look at Set Works and how to analyse & study them. Hopefully in amongst these blogs you will find something useful.

This page will be regularly updated with new blog posts. Subscribe to the blog so that you don’t miss any posts. My Set Work Blogs are not designed to regurgitate lots of information that can be found in textbooks. They are more focussed on the idea of how we can approach set works. I feel that good Set Work Blogs will leave students, and teachers, thinking about the pieces of music in new a different ways.

Exam Boards

Make sure that you visit your exam board page for more information and resources. And if you are not sure where to start with studying a set work then why not check out my blog on how to start studying them. Every board is different and some don’t require the study of set works in the same way.

If you have any questions or comments then please do get in touch. And if you would like me to cover anything in detail that you feel I have missed then please let me know.
